What to Pack

In summer, loose cotton clothing is the most comfortable. A light, windproof jacket may be useful on the coast where there’s often an Atlantic breeze. Much warmer clothing is needed in winter - particularly at nights when temperatures can drop dramatically. In the mountains - where it can be extremely cold in winter - a sturdy pair of hiking boots is recommended as the ground can be very rough. Swimwear is only considered suitable dress around hotel swimming pools and on the beach.
