The climate in Morocco is very dry, though there is some rainfall between November and March. The temperature varies considerably according to the season and locale. While the desert regions can reach extremely high temperatures during the hot summer months, the mountainous areas are cooler in summer and quite cold in winter. Most travellers find the early summer months to be the most comfortable time to visit, as temperatures are warm during the day and pleasantly cool at night.

Annual sunshine levels are more than 8 hours a day at Agadir, Fez, Marrakesh and Ouarzazate. Whatever weather you prefer, you’ll be able to find it in Morocco, from the snows of the Atlas to blazing heat of the Sahara Desert — and all in the same day.
